MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Authorities are looking for the driver involved in a chase and crash on Wednesday around 8 p.m.
The incident started after a deputy ran the plate of a Nissan Altima near Interstate 43 and Walnut Street, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department. The car was reported stolen in Milwaukee.
The deputy followed the car. The Nissan got off the highway at Capitol Drive. Once it reached Stark and Green Bay, the driver performed a U-turn and began to speed. The chase reached speeds up to 100 miles per hour. The suspect vehicle then crashed into another car near Martin Luther King Dr. and West Capitol Dr. and ran from the scene.
The driver of the other car was not seriously hurt. Deputies were unable to locate the driver of the suspect vehicle.
