Storm Chance Friday

After a comfortable start to the work week, conditions are now heating up across the area. Temperatures will hover around ninety degrees Friday and straight through the weekend. Although the wind won't be as strong tomorrow, there is a chance for storms. As a weak wave of low pressure moves west to east across the state tomorrow, it could help trigger a few storms under the peak heating of the day. Any storms that do form could contain some hail, brief downpours and gusty winds. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has much of the state under a \"marginal\" risk of severe storms.

The timing of storms appears to be late afternoon around 4pm through the evening hours. As always we'll monitor the situation carefully through the day and bring you storm updates as needed.
