Start Up / Scale Up Business competition awards KH Designs

A Milwaukee entrepreneur is launching his dream thanks to a competition launched by  Business Improvement District 32 and supported by Alderman Russell Stamper II. 

The Start Up / Scale Up business plan competition was designed to help develop the Lindsay Heights Community.  Organizers hosted a series of workshops to find people interested in starting or growing their businesses in Milwaukee after a series of workshops 5 finalists were chosen to present their ideas and today the winner was announced. 

\"I’ve been designing clothes for the past 20 years. I've been working from my home studio. I'm excited to be branching out and actually getting a brick and mortar building to have my wears. I'm just totally over the hill with this,\" Kelvin Haydon of KH Designs said. 

The winner is getting a rehabbed space to start a business. Plus thousands of dollars in prizes and technical assistance.
