St. Ben's warming center in Milwaukee to remain open 24 hours through Jan. 25
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- St. Ben's winter warming center in Milwaukee will remain open 24 hours a day now through Sunday, Jan. 25, due to bitter cold temperatures moving into our area.
The announcement came from Capuchin Community Services Tuesday, Jan. 20. Previously, the warming center was only open for overnight stays.
St. Ben's, located at 930 W. State Street, will provide cots and warm blankets during the day, as well as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.
Overnight accommodations will be available for 50 adult men and 20 adult women during this time.
St. Ben's meal program will continue Tuesday-Thursday from 5:15 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Capuchin Community Services House of Peace in Milwaukee offers free winter coats and warm clothing to those in need.
It's located at 1702 W. Walnut Street and open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-3:15 p.m.
