Revving up for March: The Harley-Davidson Museum has a full throttle of activities
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee’s Harley-Davidson Museum has announced that it is back in full swing with seven-day-a-week operations, with March kicking off a host of events and exhibits for the public to enjoy.
From new specials at the MOTOR Bar & Restaurant to the arrival of the 120th Anniversary Collection items at the Harley-Davidson Shop, the museum issued a press release on Friday, March 3 to preview what visitors can expect.
For those who are short on time, the “Homecoming Tour” is aimed to offer a quick but informative experience. Led by a knowledgeable staff member, this one-hour tour includes a visit to the Motorcycle Vault, giving it a behind-the-scenes feel. Reservations can be made by clicking here.
The museum will welcome John McGivern for a screening of “John McGivern’s Main Streets,” an episode that highlights the Menomonee Valley. Seating is limited, so visitors should reserve their tickets early. Admission is free and the show will take place on Mar. 28. More information can be found here.
"Homecoming Weekend" will take place on Saturday, July 14 and 15 from 8 - 10:15 a.m. Visitors can purchase tickets to Coffee & Conversation with Bill Davidson, the museum's vice president and great-grandson of a company founder. This opportunity includes coffee, pastries and conversation with Davidson, followed by a staff-guided tour of the Experience Gallery and Motorcycle Vault.
In addition to these events, the museum also offers an Annual Pass that provides access to various Harley history topics covered in the Virtual Gallery Talk series, admission discounts, free admission for children under age 18, merchandise discounts at The Shop, dining discounts at MOTOR Bar & Restaurant and more.
For scouts, the museum offers an Engineering Merit Badge program, both in-person and virtually.
The Harley-Davidson Shop and Factory Shop also are showcasing new arrivals from the 120th Anniversary Collection, while the MOTOR Bar & Restaurant has extended hours and monthly specials, including a St. Patrick’s Day-inspired Rueben sandwich.
