RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- There are plenty of fun events to look forward to this summer in Racine. Kevin MacDougall is the Director of Sales from the Racine Civic Centre joined us to talk about them.
Hot Harbor Nights is Racine's free music in the park event. It will happen every Thursday night throughout the summer. Expect summer bar service, delicious food and concessions. The gates open at 5 pm. Live Music is scheduled from 6-9pm.
And big news! Racine HarborFest is returning this year! It's happening June 13-14 at Festival Park.
Lighthouse Run 47th Annual has cash prizes for 10-mile competitive runs. Expect a 4-mile fun runs and kids runs. This event originates at Festival Park.
And get ready for some 'reel' fun. Salmon A Rama returns from July 11-20th at Festival Park. It's the largest fishing tournament on the Great Lakes. There will be live music, family activities. Plus, win cash prizes and gear for the largest catch in several categories.
Racine River Fest is coming up on August 2nd. It's a collaboration of all the yacht clubs along the Root River. Expect Dragon Boat Races, Cardboard Yacht Races and Duck Races. Live music and fireworks will take place at Festival Park in the evening.
Fiesta De Latino runs from August 8-10th at Festival Park. It's a celebration of all Latin American cultures. Expect traditional music, food and dance, carnival rides.
And finally, we're bringing home the bacon with Bacon Fest! It's happening from September 6-7th at Festival Park. It's in partnership with Racine Journal Times. Expect all things bacon, bacon centric food, cocktails and live music!
