Racine County holds off on marrying same-sex couples

RACINE -- The confusion surrounding U.S. District Court Judge Barbara Crabb's decision is also now being reflected in the number of counties that are granting licenses as well as those that are not. Racine County is one of the many counties who have yet to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

The Racine County Clerk is waiting for further instructions from the state before issuing marriage licenses, but that won't stop Tony Larsen and Craig Matthews from trying to get a license everyday. Larsen and Matthews have been in a relationship for 29 years.

Larsen works as a priest who officiates weddings. \"I also think it's ironic. I've performed at least 500 weddings over my 40 years of ministry and I don't get get married myself,\" said Larsen.

Members of Milwaukee's gay community plan to protest the Racine County Courthouse on June 13, 2014.

Walworth, Washington, Ozaukee Counties are also not issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples.
