MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee got an early taste of campaign 2020 on Tuesday when democratic presidential candidate Cory Booker came to town.
The New Jersey Senator stopped at 'Coffee Makes You Black' on the north side to join a roundtable discussion about gun violence.
Booker says the issue is personal to him.
"In my community, I am tired of seeing street-level shrines to children that have been murdered. Candles and teddy bears if you drive around my community. I'm tired of going to funeral after funeral when the most perverse things happen, when parents bury children."
Booker is among 21 democratic candidates running for president in 2020.
