Police respond to several fights at Riverside HS, student arrested for battery to officer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say a 15-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday, May 23, after allegedly striking an officer during a large police response at Riverside High School. 

The police department says officers responded to the school after several fights broke out around 11 a.m.

The officer that was struck sustained non-fatal injuries, and the student was arrested for battery to an officer. 

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. 

Police say a 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy were also arrested and cited.
