Police: Man with weapon sparks tactical situation in Glendale

GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man was taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation after a tactical situation in Glendale on Monday.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. July 22 near W. Estabrook and N. Port Washington Road. 

Police say a Milwaukee man with mental health issues had a weapon when he refused to go to a scheduled medical appointment. 

Police negotiators and a tactical team were able to take the man into custody. 

After being checked out at a local hospital, he was taken to the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex.
