MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Some big changes are in the works for Milwaukee's Red Arrow Park. It's part of the city's plan to reshape the downtown area by 2040.
Right now, there's three options on the table -- all with different ideas on how to bring new life to the park. That includes a plan that would rethink the park's centerpiece: the ice rink.
"Another one of our alternatives we're showing an ice ribbon which we think has been really interesting to imagine using that as our skating rink," said Therese Hanson, project architect.
The city held a public meeting Thursday, March 5 to get feedback on the three proposals.
Now they're going back to the drawing board with the community's ideas with plans to refine the plans and present a final proposal sometime this year.
