MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Archbishop Jeffrey Grob presided over Ash Wednesday Evening Mass at St. John's Cathedral Feb. 18.
It marks the first day of Lent, the seven weeks of fasting before Easter Day.
Archbishop Grob told CBS 58 the days move fast but it's a time for reflection.
"That's the sense, the mind of the church, is to offer people this opportunity to prepare again because it's not an external thing it's an internal journey," said Archbishop Grob.
Easter this year is April 5.
