MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Packers watch parties were held in cities from coast to coast Sunday, Jan. 12, including one where the focus was on both football and fundraising.
A "tailgate" was held for Camp Createability at the Lone Girl Brewing Company in Waunakee near Madison.
Money was raised through a silent auction that featured signed Badgers Rose Bowl t-shirts, Packers gear and more. The group Createability Wisconsin boosts employment skills for people with autism and other disabilities through arts and entertainment.
"Hopefully once they learn those skills, they are able to find a job out in the community, because we found that most people with autism are very drawn to very visual types of media and communication," said Createability's founder, Debbie Armstrong.
The money will also go toward a new program which teaches first responders how to respond to people with sensory overload.
