MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Some Milwaukee Public School students got a chance to see what it’s like to work in the Milwaukee County courthouse.
They met with the clerk of courts, a judge, and other employees on Tuesday.
The field trip is designed to give students a firsthand look at the different aspects of the courthouse and learn about the youth justice system.
“We thought it was a wonderful opportunity for the students to see firsthand some of the positive aspects of what goes on other just knowing the negative parts about jail and being in trouble because there’s so many positive things that go on here as well,” said Pamela Moore, a teacher at North Division High School.
Students also took part in a mock courtroom scenario and toured the County Board Office.
