MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools students are celebrating countries of the world.
The district held its World Fair at UWM Panther Arena on Thursday.
Students worked on projects all year that focused on cultures and finding ways to solve the world's problems. One student's project focused on the island country Madagascar off the coast of East Africa.
"There's forests in Madagascar, deserts, and here's the ambassador and they have vanilla beans too," said MPS fifth grader, Godson Nyaezi.
More than 2,500 students from the district's United Nations Schools of International Learning Program participated in the world fair.
