Milwaukee Public School Hosts Back to School Pep Rally

It's still summer so why is a pep rally being held at a local high school. 

MPS Superindentend Dr. Darienne Driver joined teachers and staff from the district's year-round schools  at south division high this morning to celebrate the upcoming start of the new school year.   

"What I'm asking you all is to take a journey with me in thinking about: What is possible, what can happen? With all of these different tensions and things that are on our minds to come back to that place where we know that anything is possible before our young people,” said Driver.

Again year round schools start Monday on August 8 and then traditional school begin on September 1st.
