MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Public Market has been ranked the No. 1 Best Public Market in the United States by USA Today's 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for the second consecutive year.
The recognition comes as the Market marks its 20th anniversary and prepares to co-host the 12th International Public Markets Conference.
The announcement was made Wednesday, April 23 by Business Improvement District #2, which owns and operates the facility. Since opening in 2005, they say the market has drawn nearly 2 million visitors annually and is home to 18 local vendors.
The International Public Markets Conference will take place in June and will feature Wisconsin-based market programs and food equity organizations.
