Milwaukee Police Seek Suspect in 7th Street Shooting

Milwaukee Police arrested a 25-year old man who is a person of interest in the shooting and is seeking the primary shooting suspect who is a male. 

The investigation of the suspect who shot at officers at 7th and Oklahoma Avenue on Sunday, February 26th is ongoing.  

The vehicle in which the suspect fled was previously reported stolen and has been recovered as has the suspect’s gun.  

Milwaukee Police Officers responded to a suspicious auto in the 700 block of West Oklahoma Street at 6:20 PM Sunday evening. As officers arrived, they encountered a suspect who fired a handgun at them. 

An officer returned fire but no one was struck. The suspect returned to his car and fled from from the scene.

The officers were not injured and investigation is ongoing.
