Milwaukee Police Make Arrests After Series Of Riverwest Robberies

Milwaukee police tell CBS 58 News that they have seen an increase in crime in the Riverwest area so far this year. A series of recent armed robberies has put residents on edge. Over the past week and a half, at least, nine different people have been arrested for their involvement in these crimes. To combat the problem, police have increased their presence in the area. More patrol cars and bicycle cops have now been patrolling the area to help keep residents safe.

Several of the suspects arrested were involved in a recent armed robbery of a woman and her 2-year-old daughter. They were robbed at gunpoint while walking down Fratney Street on Thursday, January 28th. One of the suspects arrested in this case was a juvenile.
