An outbreak of Meningococcal disease in Chicago has shifted the Milwaukee Health Department into action. With many LGBT events happening in Chicago over the next few weeks, they partnered with Diverse & Resilient to offer vaccination clinics.

The Meningococcal outbreak affected almost ten people and killed one in Chicago. Diverse & Resilient will have two more clinics with free vaccinations on Thursday, June 25 from 12-4 and then again on Thursday, July 2 from 12-6. The first clinic last week had about two dozen people come through for the vaccination. This Meningococcal outbreak affects men who have sex with men.
