Man Arrested for Disorderly Conduct in Front of Restaurant and Punching West Bend Police Officer

A West Bend man was arrested after being tasered for punching a police officer on Sunday.

According to West Bend Police,  an officer observed a 25 year old resident of West Bend, urinating on the tire of a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot in the 800 block of South Main Street.

This was allegedly directly in front of the large windows, of an open area restaurant. .

The man became belligerent and uncooperative with the officer, refusing to comply with the officer’s requests to move away from the vehicle.

The man was advised that he was under arrest and he initially gave the appearance of compliance to the arrest, but suddenly turned on the officer and attempted to punch the officer.

According to police, he allegedly spit on the officer several times, advanced toward the officer and attempted to strike the officer with his fists.

The officer deployed his Taser and the male was arrested for Battery to Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, and Disorderly Conduct.
