Major warming trend next week could mean 70s

Don’t look now, but the spring switch has finally turned on and we are flying into May the right way. After last week’s weather horror and snowfall, the pattern is expected to flip in a positive direction.

Highs could return into the 70s by next week under a strong ridge of high pressure. This will not only lead to the warmest air of the season for the whole state, but most of Wisconsin could see 70s. Some of the computer model data has southern and western Wisconsin cranking close to 80 degrees.

With the return of the warm air and moisture, we will have to keep an eye on showers and thunderstorms a few times next week.

Bottom line is we are done with the winter jazz and the warmth looks to be here for good!
