3rd Street Market Hall tightens rules after teen takeover concerns
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lorenzo Cain hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the eighth inning to help the Milwaukee Brewers win the NL Central title by downing the Chicago Cubs 3-1 on Monday in a high-stakes tiebreaker game.
CBS 58 Sports Scot Grodsky caught up with Cain to talk about what the big win was like.
"It feels great. To get to this point, the month of September definitely wasn’t easy for us. To win the series towards the end and get two sweeps in a row and come here and play a tough team in Chicago, something we needed to do to win the division. It wasn’t easy," Cain said.
When asked if the Brewers have what it takes to win the World Series, Cain said it's a team that could do a lot of things.
"It’s about going out there and getting it done on the field. We feel confident in ourselves, believe in each other, rely on each other, it’s going to take a total team effort to get to where we wanna be which is the World Series," Cain said.
Cain also said that the team is grateful that they don't have to play a wild card game.
