Landscaping planned for mountain of construction dirt in West Allis

WEST ALLIS-It may be a big pile of construction dirt now, but pretty soon it's going to be a source of pride for resident s of West Allis.

The department of Transportation has agreed to landscape the mound to make it less unsightly near 894 and the Greenfield Exit.

Businesses and residents came to CBS 58 months ago to complain.

Now, we're hearing there are plans for a wall with some West Allis signs to greet folks who might use this road to get to the state fair.

\"We're trying to figure out what would look best,\" Mayor Dan Divine told CBS 58 News on Wednesday. \"What would grow best there. . I think it's going to turn out to be a win, win situation.\"

When CBS 58 first reported on this story, people nearby called it \"Mt. Stallis.\"

Now the mayor tells us they've renamed it \"Conrad Hill\" after a nearby housing development.
