Kenosha County Sheriff's Office to Exhume Body of Infant that Died in 1989

Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office plans to exhume the body of newborn that died in 1989.

According to Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, the body was originally found on November 09, 1989.

Detectives have now developed a person of interest in the case.

Trappers beneath the Des Plaines River Bridge on CTH N in the Town of Paris found the newborn.

An Autopsy determined the infant was born alive and the death was classified as a homicide.

The infant was named Baby John Doe and was buried at the St. John’s Cemetery at 9900 336th Avenue in the Town of Randall.

Approximately one year ago the case was reopened when new information became available.  Detectives Paulsen and Istvanek were assigned and have been working the case since then. 

In order to obtain DNA evidence, the Detectives have obtained approval to exhume the infant’s body from the cemetery. 

This exhumation will take place on Thursday.
