MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The holiday season is always a busy time for our partners at the Hunger Task Force.
On Wednesday, Dec. 18, volunteers at the Hunger Task Force Distribution Center on College Avenue were busy packing bins full of food for holiday meals.
"Our network members have identified some families that are in very great need," said Jonathan Hansen, Hunger Task Force Development Director. "But these are children, these are seniors, these are moms and dads who need a little help at the holidays. And so our volunteers have come together, they're building these bins, there's been donations from the community and we're gonna work to get these bins out to families just before the holiday weekend."
The volunteers were packing 500 bins with holiday hams, fresh potatoes, oranges, and canned vegetables.
If you'd like to contribute, the Hunger Task Force says cash donations are helpful right now.
