(CBS 58) – With many people buying gifts online this holiday season, experts predict there will be an influx of waste from packages and other packing materials.
Sustainability expert Tania Ragland joined CBS 58 to share ways on how to reduce trash and promote eco-friendly living.
Ragland offered the following tips:
- Cardboard and paper can be recycled, bubble wrap, air pillows and foam should be reused or thrown away
- Regift bags, tissue, bows and other items
- Avoid single-use plastics and recycle metal food and drink cans and paper boxes
