Handling Snow The Right Way Saves Time & Money

(Milwaukee)--Would you believe the city of Milwaukee views the snow on the ground as a form of trash? So it's no wonder the city gives you a day to clear your sidewalks after the latest snowfall stops. Otherwise you could face fines in the hundreds of dollars if not careful. And while you're at it, it's recommended to shovel or blow your snow to the right if you're facing the street. This only helps with the efforts of a plow passing in front of your home.

The city of Milwaukee also wants everyone to remember not to put snow back on a plowed street or alley way. And one more piece of advice. Make sure there's a clear pathway to trash cans and recyclable carts within 72 hours of the end of a snowfall. Otherwise you could be fined as well.
