MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Saturday's Salmon Tournament at McKinley Marina was more than just a chance for anglers to reel in a big fish -- it also helped those in need.
The Hunger Task Force brought a refrigerated truck to accept donations from fisherman on Lake Michigan.
The food drive has been going strong for years now.
Last year, nearly 1,300 pounds of fresh fish were donated.
"Whether you give a dollar, one can, a hundred cans, a hundred dollars, every single donation helps our neighbors, our families and our friends," said Jerry Pipp, Warehouse Manager, Hunger Task Force.
Families receiving Saturday's catch will get it by Monday.
