WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A suspect armed with a knife tries to rob a West Allis bar, but a man and woman inside the bar fight him off.
The entire incident was caught on the bar's surveillance cameras.
The suspect walked into Dopp's Bar & Grill in West Allis around 11:30 p.m. on July 12. An employee was cleaning up the bar and her husband was helping out.
As soon as the suspect walked into the bar, he shoved the man to the ground and started fighting with him.
The suspect threatened him with a knife and asked for money.
During the attack, the female employee got out the cash drawer for the suspect and threw items from the bar at him.
The suspect hit the man with a chair.
Eventually, the couple is able to fight the suspect out the door and hold it closed.
During the scuffle, the glass door broke.
Damage to the bar is estimated to be about $600.
The suspect ran away and did not get away with any money.
The man inside was cut by the knife on the arm but declined medical attention.
Police are still looking for the suspect and describe him as a white male in his 20's and is about six feet tall.
He was wearing a baseball hat, a bandana covering the lower half of his face, a brown sweatshirt, brown gloves, khaki shorts, and athletic shoes.
