County supervisor wants to use inmates for pothole repair

MILWAUKEE -- Extreme winter weather has taken its toll on roads in the City of Milwaukee, and as pothole complaints rise Milwaukee County Supervisor Russell Stamper II offers his solution.

In a statement, Supervisor Stamper says the City of Milwaukee should coordinate with Milwaukee County for the use of House of Corrections inmates and those who have been sentenced to community service.

Supervisor Stamper believes the inmates can be trained to help repair streets. He says, \"I am putting together a program in which Milwaukee County, the city and the community work to create multiple ways to address this significant problem.\"

Supervisor Stamper is currently running to fill the Milwaukee Aldermanic seat vacated by Willie Hines Jr.
