County board approves $700K toward restoration, safety improvements at McKinley Beach

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- More than $700,000 is going toward restoration and safety improvements at McKinley Beach in Milwaukee.

The full county board just adopted a resolution spearheaded by Supervisor Sheldon Wasserman.

McKinley Beach has been closed for the last year after several drownings.

If all goes to plan, Wasserman says the beach could reopen by next summer.
