MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hundreds of fans and caregivers affected by Alzheimer's were at Miller Park Friday night.
Former Wisconsin Governor Marty Schrieber was among them. He has been caring for his wife for years and helping promote the cause and the hope for a cure.
"The fact that there is more attention given to this disease, the fact that there's more money going into research, the fact that more caregivers are getting help through the Alzheimer's Association, good things are happening and it's a wonderful feeling," Schrieber said.
"People you talk to that go through it, you hear very similar stories," said former Badgers play-by-play announcer Paul Braun. "And all of a sudden you get the support of those people, and quite frankly doing this is therapeutic, too."
