MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Mayor Tom Barrett and County Executive Chris Abele are encouraging people to think about the troops when buying Christmas gifts this season.
The Mayor kicked off the annual "Holiday Drive for Troops" on Monday.
This year, the city and county are working with the USO to buy toys for kids whose parents are serving overseas.
"It's a very cool way for us to show appreciation for those families who are making the sacrifice, who are serving overseas during the holiday season," said Mayor Tom Barrett.
You can donate at City Hall, the county courthouse, and all the police stations and public libraries through December 1.
You can also buy off Amazon who will donate part of your purchase to USO Wisconsin. Click here to see their wish list.
