MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--We have a window of opportunity to see some lake effect snow, especially for the lakeside counties. It'll be late Sunday night into Monday afternoon. The potential is there to see at least three inches. There's also a bit of concern we could see some blowing snow with northerly winds gusting to 30 mph on Monday. Places away from the lake will experience a sharp cutoff when it comes to snowfall amounts. So if you're doing any traveling along and east of the I-94 corridor Monday morning, plan on a little extra time for travel.
Just south of us, into the Ohio, Missouri, and Tennessee Valleys, there are numerous winter weather alerts up for this region. If you have flight plans in the next few days, you certainly want to check ahead as well.
Beside the event early in the week, there' s a chance for more snow on Friday. Obviously, we're still fine tuning the forecast into the end of the week so keep checking back with us. Temperatures will stay on the cold side this week with highs mainly in the 20s and lows in the teens for the most part.
