3 Children, 8 Puppies not Properly Cared for by Wausau Woman

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -- A Wausau woman has been charged with neglect and failing to provide food for animals after eight puppies and three children were found by police, according to WSAW.

Twenty-eight-year-old Rebecca Hollman is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of THC, neglecting a child, failing to provide food for an animal and possession of drug paraphernalia following a welfare check Monday.

According to court documents officers found drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain site.

Court documents also state eight puppies were in a gated area with out food and water. Officers report dog feces was located throughout the house including on a child's bed.

The initial report indicated the living conditions for three children living in the residence was not a safe environment.

Hollman pleaded not guilty to the charges Tuesday. She's scheduled to head to trial in April.
