WATCH: Wauwatosa police arrest driver after pursuit, find rifle and drugs in car

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Wauwatosa police shared video Wednesday of a chase near Mayfair Road last week.

Police say they tried to pull over a driver for driving without proper license plates while conducting traffic enforcement in the area.

The car sped away, according to authorities, leading officers on a chase. 

Police used a tire deflation device to slow the car, but the driver then got out of his car and into a waiting vehicle, which also fled from officers. 

Wauwatosa police say they arrested the driver at his home after a brief standoff. 

After searching his car, authorities say they found a short-barreled rifle and drugs.
