UPDATE: Winter Storm Warning Issued; Starts Friday Night

The first real snowfall of the 2015-2016 winter season promises to be a significant one.  A Winter Storm Warning is in place mid-evening Friday until mid-afternoon Saturday.  Snowfall totals of 4 to 8 inches will be rather common with perhaps a bit less by the lakeshore and well north and west of Milwaukee.

Low pressure is jetting out of the Plains and just into central Illinois by Saturday morning.  This is the perfect set up for giving us a winter wonderland, just in time for the hunters and Milwaukee's Holiday Parade on Saturday.

Please use extreme caution when traveling Friday night and Saturday.  Any wind will reduce visibility as well.

Keep in mind any movement, north or south, of the low pressure could impact this forecast.  Stay tuned to CBS58 throughout the day for further updates.  And make sure to download the free CBS58 weather app when you're on the go.  Check cbs58.com for further updates as well.
