Public tribute at scene of Waukesha stabbing

WAUKESHA-Jennifer Wirth among the residents that welcomed the news that a 12 year old girl stabbed 19 times Saturday was up and walking around.


The community was horrified by the crime and that the accused are two 12 year old classmates.


Cards, balloons and other homemade well wishes at the spot where a bicyclist spotted the wounded girl and called police.


\"The community is standing behind the little girl,\" Wirth declared, \"and we want her to get better, get stronger, and face her fears.\"




\"Everybody can't get to the hospital,\" Israel Pitchford said at the makeshift tribute. \"So the best they can do is come out.\"
