The "Refashion for Life" event celebrates 10 years tomorrow night and if you've never been, then you don't know what you're missing.

The models not only wear the latest fashion but carry the latest in home appliances and fixtures with them.

It only makes sense considering the event is staged at Callen Construction on Janesville Road in Muskego.

There will also be a silent auction and food from Saz's.

Since 2008, the event has raised more than $200,000 for programs provided by Common Ground Ministry. That includes Elena's House for those struggling to survive with HIV/AIDS.

"I just wanted to slip away and go home with Jesus," explains former Elena's House resident Nicholas McNealey. "But Elena's house has livened me back up to the point where I'm back on my own and 100% healthy."

Elena's house is the namesake of a local woman lost to the disease but who battled the illness with bravery and a positive spirit at a time when there was stigma and mistreatment of AIDS patients.

Executive Director of Common Ground Ministry, Mary Ellen Huwiler, says while the survival rates have improved, there is still a lot to overcome for patients in terms of getting the care they need and support and a sense of well being.

"It's nice that people came to us 17 years ago and didn't have a lot of hope in life who are now living," Huwiler tells CBS 58 News. "And they still come back for our support groups."

Tickets are $40  and event parking and free shuttle service is at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, S66 W14325 Janesville Rd., (just west of Callen’s Muskego showroom).
