Carson picked to be housing secretary

NEW YORK (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump has picked former campaign rival Ben Carson to be housing secretary. Trump's transition office made the announcement this morning. In a statement, Trump says he's "thrilled to nominate" Carson, and that the former neuro surgeon "has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities."
