Bus Union Makes New Demands

Leaders with local 998 delivered signed letters from its members this morning to the county board asking supervisors to hold the transit system accountable for realistic running times, a positive work environment and employee support and retention plans.

Union leaders say more than 125 transit employees walked away from their jobs this year over what they call unbearable working conditions.
