A 23-year-old Milwaukee man died after going underwater due to a medical incident on Lake Deneveu in the Township of Empire in Fond du Lac County Tuesday afternoon.
The man's body was located about three hours after he was last seen going underwater at 3:15 p.m. The cause of the death has not been determined.
The victim was known as an avid swimmer but was not wearing a life jacket.
Multiple agencies were called to this scene including the Wisconsin DNR and several fire departments.
