More Lawmakers Call for Sheriff David Clarke to Resign

More Wisconsin lawmakers are calling for Sheriff David Clarke's job.

Senator Chris Larson, Representative Jonathan Brostoff, and Representative Christine Sinicki released a statement urging the removal of the sheriff.

Here is part of their joined statement.

"With four families grieving over the unnecessary loss of their loved ones in the past six months, it has become clear that our county's sheriff department has been grossly mismanaged."

Three inmates and a baby have died in the jail since April.

One of the deaths has been ruled a homicide by the medical examiner's office.

Sheriff Clark released this response to the call for his job:

“Means nothing coming from Christine Sinicki, a person who bounces checks and drives on a suspended driver's license, and Christopher the thief Larson who was arrested for shoplifting. As for Brostoff, who the hell is that? #Make America Great Again.”
