Waukesha Veteran Gets Much Needed Home Repair Donated by Local Workers of Mr. Handyman Chain

Technicians from locally-owned Mr. Handyman of Waukesha and North Milwaukee County donated their services without collecting a penny to local veteran, Bruce Cummings.

It was part of a national effort by Mr. Handyman franchise owners and employees to promote volunteerism and observe the National Day of Service.

Mr. Handyman technicians performing light construction and maintenance services. Their work will include replacing the kitchen faucet, chimney tuck pointing, exterior power washing and drip edging around the windows.

"It's hard to believe that somebody would do this for us without asking for something in return," Cumming's wife Patti told CBS 58 News. "We're blessed that they're doing this for us. There's so much that needed to be done. We just can't do it anymore. So, for somebody to say hey we're going to do it for you for nothing, it's just great."

Local Mr. Handyman owner Marty Putz was on hand to personally oversee the work.
