Man hit and killed by train in Pleasant Prairie

Pleasant Prairie police are investigating a person vs. train accident that took place around 4:00 p.m. on January 2. The accident delayed Amtrak's northbound Hiawatha line for multiple hours.
Police say dispatch received a call from a Canadian Pacific Railroad engineer saying a pedestrian was hit by a northbound train between 122nd St. and Russell Rd. The victim in this accident is described as a light-skinned African-American/Hispanic male. Police are not releasing the victim's name while they notify family member's of the death.
Investigators believe this to be accidental.
