MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With Valentine's Day in the rearview mirror, a variety of non-holiday-affiliated events are taking center stage in and around Milwaukee this weekend. Ian Thompson of VISIT Milwaukee joined us on Thursday, Feb. 15 to preview some highlighted things to see and experience.

Disney On Ice is presenting “Find Your Hero” at Fiserv Forum from Friday through Monday, Feb. 15-19, showcasing stories from Moana, The Little Mermaid, Frozen and others, emphasizing courage and self-discovery.

The Cedarburg Winter Festival, set for Feb. 17-18, offers a blend of indoor and outdoor activities in a "Back to the 80s" theme. Downtown Cedarburg will be alive with ice sculpting, bed races and an 80s bash through a variety of family-friendly activities.

Milwaukee Art Museum is celebrating Vel Phillips’s 100th birthday with a special Free Day and Celebration on Feb. 18 to honor Phillips’s legacy of social justice with artmaking, gallery tours and live music, marking the start of the "Year of Vel Phillips."

Blu at The Pfister Hotel continues their Valentine’s Day experience on Feb. 16 and 17, offering special packages for an evening of elegance, including reserved tables, charcuterie and desserts.
