Suspect fleeing deputies crashes into building near 27th and Burleigh

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A vehicle reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit before ultimately crashing into a building in Milwaukee early Friday, Feb. 23.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office say that they initiated a pursuit of what they considered to be an armed and dangerous individual from Waukesha County. The chase, which began at 27th and Holt around at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, wove through the city on the freeway before entering the Potawatomi Casino Hotel's parking structure.

Officials say that the vehicle returned to city streets before the pursuit ended with a crash into a building near 27th and Burleigh.

The subject was taken to a hospital for evaluation after being taken into custody. After receiving medical clearance, the individual will be transferred to the Waukesha Police Department.
