MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two recent studies highlight the benefits of therapy dogs. One found they boost feelings of wellness and reduce the stress on college students. Another concluded our canine companions actually enjoy making us feel better. The results come as no surprise to a local non-profit celebrating 20 years of success building the human-animal bond.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Mike Strehlow met pet owners and their pooches training to become certified therapy dogs with the help of Pets Helping People, a Milwaukee-area nonprofit celebrating 20 years of success in building the human-animal bond.
