Shorewood party store shares DIY gift wrap ideas, plus art classes being offered in 2024
SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Happy Little Stars MKE opened its doors just six months ago. They offer party supplies and decorations in the front of the store, located on Capitol Drive. And in the back, you can find kids participating in art classes. They're currently offering drop-off After School Art programs for kids age 5-9 years old. But come 2024, they're planning to offer parent-toddler art classes.
But ahead of Christmas, CBS 58 was at Happy Little Stars MKE talking to the owner, Tracy Federwitz, about some household products you can use to wrap your gifts.
Here are some of Federwitz's wrapping recommendations:
- Brown paper lunch bags
- Freezer paper as wrapping paper
To decorate the giftwrap:
- Dish sponge cut like a Christmas tree used as a stamp
- Epsom salt in place of glitter
- Holiday cookie cutters as stencils
- Greenery from outside as embellishments
